Multi-Vendor Meter Reading Systems
CSA is proud to offer MVRS - a complete meter-reading package that includes hardware, software and support. This product has been coupled with ITRON hardware which is tough enough to withstand most weather conditions yet lightweight enough to make it easy and comfortable to use.
MVRS has a complete Route Management System, designed for easy operation and maximum flexibility. The user may scan by customer’s name, address and meter number. The system also provides information to assist the meter reader such as address, meter location, meter number, hi/low range checks and special messages. MVRS also provides automatic meter-reading time stamps and radio-read capability.
We have found both the hardware and software to be very reliable and user friendly, greatly increasing the speed and efficiency of meter reading. Meter information transferred from the hand-held device to a personal computer is automatically sent to the customer billing system. The elimination of keyed readings is a significant savings, reducing processing time and possible transcription errors.
The ITRON hardware can be equipped to take alternate reading input such as radio read and touch pad.
