Orbit PrePay

CSA’s Orbit Prepay provides a long-sought-after solution for assisting customers with troubled pay history, high turnover tendencies, or anyone who simply enjoys budgeting resources. As the name implies, prepay/flexpay reduces the need for customer deposits and allows a pay-as-you-go resource instead of the need to pay in arrears of services already rendered.

Orbit Prepay works with advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) solutions to cut the utility when funds drop to zero. Orbit Prepay can also notify customers of impending cutoff via E-mail, SMS “text” message, or telephone IVR prior to those funds expiring, providing a customer-friendly side to the prepay resource.

Orbit Prepay has fully functional interfaces with CSA’s Orbit and Legacy billing systems and integrates with the utility’s current AMI system and its existing disconnect method. The Orbit Prepay resource also works with SmartSynch and Metrum to provide spot deployment of AMI and disconnect functionality where AMI has not been installed or where remote disconnect is not available through the AMI solution.
