As a member of the Member Services Department the Information Systems Representative’s role will be responsible for training member utilities on various CSA software applications and providing customer support throughout the service area.

Essential Job Functions:

We are seeking a strong sales and business development leader to join our team as Vice President of Sales. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Sales & BD Leader who has demonstrated the ability to lead sustainable, profitable growth providing software solutions to the public utility sector. This position requires a strong team player with the ability to build/maintain strong customer relationships, drive a sales process and attract, nurture and maintain high performing sales professionals.

Responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Promote and exhibit Professionalism at all times.
  • Research and analyze areas of interest to the company which will allow the company to gain a competitive advantage.
  • Collect, organize and share with the management team at pertinent information about the satisfaction level of members.
  • Conduct proper record keeping regarding contacts with members and potential members, other vendors and other associations or related parties.
  • Assist writers engaged in preparing technical material for publication in conjunction with, or independent from, research and related activities.
  • Conduct marketing and sales visits (either in person, on the phone or through other technology) to market systems and services that are available through company.
  • Organize, co-ordinate, plan, schedule and participate as needed in product demonstrations.
  • Conduct marketing and sales follow-up visits (either in person, on the phone or through other technology) to members to ensure that the maximum number of products and services are being utilized by the utility.
  • Represents the company at public, social, and business gatherings.
  • Attend conferences, seminars, trade shows, meetings, etc. in order to develop the personal contacts.
  • Inform Chief Business Development Officer or the appropriate manager of any requests from members for system enhancements or development of new systems.
  • Always seek to be INNOVATIVE in the development of new ideas and ways to market services.
  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments within the company and utility industry.
  • Keep management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports.
  • Significant travel in a seven state area is required.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in marketing or sales. Extensive utility knowledge is preferred but not required. Utility accounting, computer systems and/or customer service experience is extremely beneficial.

Central Service Association located in Northeast Mississippi is currently looking for highly motivated, experienced software developers. This stable, well-established organization provides a total range of information technology systems for public utilities in the Southeastern United States.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience as a programmer.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills are necessary.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with .NET (C# or VB), Design Patterns, SQL and SOAP Web Services.
  • Object Oriented Development in Visual Studio.
  • SQL development in Microsoft SQL Server including Ad-hoc queries, reporting and stored procedures.
  • Knowledge of database design is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP also a plus.
  • Applicant must have the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
