How did you first become involved in the utility industry?
After graduating from college, I was offered at job at Pickwick Electric Cooperative.
How long have you been with your utility?
I started my employment at PEC on February 10, 1992.
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
Working with the local community.
What do you find most challenging about your job?
This can be a 24/7/365 responsibility at times. This is especially true during extreme weather events,
but it’s also true of the normal day to day effort required to keep the power on.
How does CSA help with those challenges?
CSA is involved in everything. From customer information to accounting systems to system mapping, CSA’s systems help us keep up with and maintain everything.
What do you find most interesting or compelling about serving on the CSA Board?
Learning about how CSA builds and maintains the systems that manage our data and helps us serve our members is different from normal utility operations.
How do you spend what free time you may have?
Hunting, fishing, and shooting.
