Veterans Day is a time to commemorate and recognize the bravery and sacrifices made by the members of America's Armed Forces. CSA is fortunate to have six veterans on staff as of Veterans Day 2024. Let's get to know Lionel McCormick. Lionel currently works as an Information Systems Representative in Member Services. He is a veteran of the U.S Navy. 

Q: What inspired you to join the military?

A:  I had a lot of family who served, especially in the Navy.

Q: What did your time in service teach you?

A:  Discipline, focus, teamwork. We all had to rely on each other.

Q: Share a memorable story from your time in service. 

A:  Watching flight ops on aircraft carriers was a fascinating experience. Hearing the engines roar, smelling the fuel, hearing the arresting lines as planes landed.

Q: What advice would you give to someone considering entering the military?

A:  It can be a demanding life, but with a little initiative, you can go far.

Q: What do you like to do outside of work?

A:  My wife and I like Disney!

Q: Anything else you'd like to add?

A:  I am thankful for having served and proud of the men and women who wore and continue to wear the uniform.
